Le Métreur · construction estimating agent
The estimating software you never open. The priced quote is already in your drafts.
Most estimating tools wait for someone to sit down and open them. This one reads the request the moment it lands, measures the work against your own price grid, and writes the detailed quote. You read it, you send it.
Book a 20 minute callLe Métreur is still being built. First installations run in review mode: every quote passes under your eyes before it leaves, for as long as it takes to prove the pricing against your own past jobs.
46.1%
of workers want AI to take over part of their workload, yet those same tasks account for only 1.3% of how AI actually gets used today. Pricing quotes is exactly that kind of task.

Who Le Métreur fits, and who it does not.
Yes, if
- Quote requests land in your inbox and pile up until somebody has an evening free to price them.
- Your prices fit in a grid, a spreadsheet or a catalogue, even if nobody has formalized it in years.
- You lose contracts because a competitor answered two days before you, not because they were cheaper.
- Your next hire would be somebody to do the estimating.
No, if
- Every project is one of a kind and the price gets decided standing on the site. Le Métreur prices what follows a grid, not what needs a walkthrough.
- You send fewer than ten quotes a month. Doing them by hand still costs you less than installing anything.
- You want the quote to go out on its own, with nobody reading it. That is not how we install it, and not how we will sell it to you.
From the request landing to the quote ready to send
We read your grid
Your prices, your materials, your rates, your travel zones. We calibrate on quotes you have already sent, so you can compare what Le Métreur would have priced against what you actually invoiced.
Every request gets measured
The request lands in your inbox. Le Métreur pulls out the work to be done, the quantities, the materials, the labour and the travel, then applies your grid.
The quote is waiting for you
Draft reply written, detailed PDF attached, client record matched or created in your CRM. You read it and you send it.
- Hi, I need a price to redo the asphalt on my driveway, about 600 square feet, curbs included. It is in Brossard.
- Request received · work identified: residential driveway, 600 sq ft, curbs included
- Grid read: new residential paving at $6.25 per square foot, curbs at $14 per linear foot, zone 2 travel at a flat rate.
- Quote priced · detailed PDF produced · draft reply written
- Record created in the CRM · assigned to David · awaiting review since 7:13 p.m.

A price that follows the volume, not the seat count
The question is not what a piece of software costs. It is what the person you would have to hire to do the estimating costs. In Quebec, a junior estimator runs close to $5,000 CAD a month once payroll costs are in.

What people ask us before signing
- What happens when the pricing comes out wrong?
- You see it before your client does, because nothing leaves without your review. That is also why we calibrate on your old quotes before the first real request: we compare what Le Métreur would have priced against what you invoiced.
- My prices are not written down anywhere. They are in my head.
- That is what the setup is for. We pull them out of the quotes you have already sent, you validate them, and they become your grid. Plenty of contractors find out at that point that two people in the shop were not pricing the same way. The three trades whose quote structure we know best are plumbing, electrical and HVAC.
- Does Le Métreur replace my estimator?
- No. They keep deciding, they stop retyping. What we sell is the next hire, the one you will not have to make when the volume doubles.
- What about requests that do not fit the grid?
- They come back to you exactly as they came in, flagged as outside the grid, with no invented number attached. A wrong quote costs more than a missing one.
- Which CRMs do you connect to?
- We look at yours during the call. If it exposes an API, wiring it in is part of the setup; if it does not, we tell you before we invoice anything.
Bring three quotes you have already sent. We show you what Le Métreur would have done with them.
Twenty minutes, no commitment. You leave with the measured gap between your pricing and its own, even if we never work together.
